my advent calendar for emma

.so here are the pics of the calendar I made E. It is a home that is decorated with holiday brads that I got at Oriental Trading and buttons from Michaels. A sewing machine would have made this go more evenly but it has that "outsider art" feel to it. :) You can really do so much with brads that I went a little coo coo at Oriental Trading this year. The red bird on top is the little marker that moves from pocket to pocket as the days go by and each day is a small pocket to place the bird inside. E is more into her advent calendar with the chocolates inside, go figure. I really like the idea of each day having an ornament to place on a tree so I think this summer I will start working on the ornaments.
